A group formed in 1968 by seven alumni of Seoul National University: Nam Cheol, Oh Jong-uk, Lee Jeong-gap, Joo Haejoon, Choi Byeongsang, Choi Jongtae, and Choi Chung-ung. In the founding declaration, the club stated, “We, as Koreans shall coexist with the international community, improve upon the banal conscience and directionless psychological climate for art with a sense of national autonomy and self-respect and pride, and create an innovative space using a new sculptural language with a sense of duty.” The second members’ exhibition in 1969 was held at the Gyeongbokgung Art Museum, and characterized by the fact that it was an outdoors sculptural exhibition, and all the works featured were over 2 meters tall. In 2017, the club held its 50th anniversary exhibition at the Kim Chongyung Museum.
